Number of Traffic Services in NYC Metro

So after months of living in the area, I still can't figure out how many traffic report services truly exist in the metro area... in other words, I've heard the 1010 WINS guys on 1500 WGHT Pompton Lakes/Paterson, Tom Note on both 970 The Apple and 94.7 WFME, and then there is Clear Channel's Total Traffic (though they use different voices on their stations it seems). How many different traffic services are in NYC, and what stations do they appear on?

I've heard Candy Roth report an accident on 287 in NJ on Magic 98.3 and then heard her report another accident on the other end of 287 in NY on 100.7 WHUD a few minutes later.

Many of the stations share the same traffic services. The same is true in many other markets.

NJ101.5 (WKXW) uses many who appear on 1010 WINS although only Matt Ward goes by a different name on that station. I think the only ones who actually work for NJ 101.5 are Bob Williams and Jill Myra.

"Tom Rivers" is apparently a play on Tom's River NJ from what I read although I've heard conflicting stories as to why Matt uses that name.

WFME does traffic reports?

They do... Tom Note does a very downtempo, extensive report I think around :15 and :45 after during morning drive. I've only caught it a couplte times because I only listen to the station when flipping the dial...

Of course WFME does traffic reports, people don't want to be late for church!

Another thing I like about WFME is that it relays every EAS alert in the entire listening area. So our EAS box monitors WFME.

There are at least 4 that I'm aware of. Metro/Shadow, TotalTraffic, Traffic.com, and TrafficPlus.
