Numbers stations...

Google, or check out "The Conet Project." It's a series of recordings made over the years of some of the numerous Numbers Station broadcasts, particularly in Europe during the height of the Cold War. When listening to them, you can almost imagine a spy hunkering down with his shortwave radio.. listening through all the static for important messages.
