My Random Thoughts:
1) The usual top 5-6 is pretty much the same. I don't expect this to change anytime soon.
2) 104.9 The X is down a bit. Most likely, Kruz @ 94.9 took a bite from their older & female demos.
3) US 94 had a bad book. I don't listen to country much, but I think I saw a thread saying that US 94 dropped most/all of their classic country...was this during the Spring book? If so, maybe they should go back to classic country? Does KBTN out of Neosho, MO play classic country? Interesting that they showed in someone's diary...perhaps because of recent US 94 changes?
4) Kruz @ 94.9 did about as good as I thought. An improvent to the horrible Fall book under Y94.9, but not much different than their other books. The Hot AC/AAA hybrid format has a limted cume for around here, but hopefully they will develop enough of a loyal following thru TSL (Time Spent Listening) to survive.
5) 92.1 The Ticket seems to be emerging as the sports leader. Not a surprise given they have the best signal for most in NWA. With Bo Mattingly now on The Ticket from 2-6PM Drive, this should remain and I predict that they will have even better ratings come Fall.
6) Too bad Jon & Deek don't seem to be returning to The Hog Sports Radio. I miss hearing them in the morning drive slot. Sounds like Vertical Magazine was paying for their salary, and Dan Storrs can't afford to employ them the salary they want on his own.
7) AM 1190 The Fan continues to slip, not even showing up in the ratings. With Bo Mattingly and Jim Rome no longer on there, I don't listen to them much as I used to. Will Butler make a format change? A 60s-70s based oldies/classic hits format seems like a good candidate to me.
