I hear commercials on them, so it's obvious they're making money. But I doubt it's enough to cover their expenses.

Local talk is the direction 101.9 needs to go. All-news in NY has been locked up by WINS and WCBS for more than four decades. NY hasn't had a good mostly local talk station since WMCA in the 1970s. :)
