NYC In HD

I've become the latest to join the radiogeek HD craze. I really regret waiting a few years to get XM and this may be one of the few chances to get in on a new radio technology at the ground floor.

So for your downloading convenience I present two HD formats that should cover the tastes of much of the posters here:

Classic Hip-Hop "Hot 97 Throwback"

http://radio-info.com/mp3/97.1 WQHT-HD2 New York 3-23-2006 946pm-1109pm.mp3

and all 70's "WPLJ-2"

http://radio-info.com/mp3/95.5 WPLJ-HD2 New York 3-23-2006 434pm-600pm.mp3

I will have an aircheck of WCBS-FM HD2 in the next couple days.

Here's the other HD subchannels I can record right now:

93.9 WNYC (HD2 Classical)
95.5 WPLJ (HD3 Party Rock is the best way to describe)
99.1 WAWZ (HD2 Christian Preaching)
100.3 WHTZ (HD2 New Music)
102.7 WNEW (HD2 1010 WINS simulcast)
104.3 WAXQ (HD2 Deep Tracks)
105.1 WWPR (HD2 Power en Espanol)
106.7 WLTW (HD2 Classic Lite)

Lance,

The links "cannot be found"

UPDATE: The hotlink is bad, the spaces aren't interpreted by IE or Firefox. Cut the entire URL and drop it in your address line and it works fine.
Edited by John Y. on 03/25/06 04:32 PM.

Woops. I forgot that using BBCode as opposed to HTML in posts causes the links to break. They are fixed in the original post.
______________

Lance, can you record the country HD2 that's on 103.5, I think?

I noticed that these are in mono also, as Jeremy's were. Is it a bug in the Recepter that it only picks up in mono, are HD2s only able to broadcast in mono? Just curious.

I actually heard HD Radio for the first time today, and some of them here in Boston did sound very good, some, not so good. I wasn't listening close enough to tell if they were being received in mono or stereo. I didn't listen with headphones.

HD2s are stereo
