NYC local news in HD

It's 2007 and HD TVs are selling fast. I have a HD set and I'm sure many of you do too. I try to only watch programs and sports in HD (it's so much better than SD) I see WNBC 4 has a very impressive HD newscast. WABC Eyewitness News on channel 7 has in studio HD but it's reporters out in the field don't seem to be using HD cameras like on channel 4.
When is CBS 2 and FOX 5 gonna get with the program and start broadcasting local news in HD to compete better with NBC 4 and ABC 7? I can't even watch 2 and 5 with their outdated old newscasts in SD. Also the CW 11 has a big morning newscast and 10pm news so I would have thought they would have upgraded by now. None of the 6:30pm newscast on the major networks seem to be in HD but morning shows like Good Morning America are borcasting in HD. Why are some channels and netwoeks so far behind others? Ratings and advertising money is up for grabs so what's taking so long? Any news about different local stations upgrading to HD?

I understand in Philadelphia WPVI ABC 6 broadcasts it's local news in HD and KYW CBS 3 will start brocasting local news in HD sometime in March. Don't know about NBC 10 or FOX 29 Philadelphia.

It's true that ratings may be up for grabs, however, even today, the amount of people with an HDTV is a small portion of the viewing public. It is a growing number but still very small and not enough to affect the HD-less stations and programs, yet. I am certain that will change in the coming years though.
