nyc radio needs glenn beck

i think nyc radio like wabc-am or wor-am need glenn beck he is cool, funny and smart person he has that show on cnn headline news he is on a stations in the hudson valley, philly and allentown but not in nyc he be good something different i think it be good for wor becauce wabc dosent seem to change its morning afternoon shift what do you think ?

I'm a big fan of Glenn's and I'd agree. I figured he'd have a chance before WOR started this (yawn) new afternoon show. Or maybe they could get a couple listeners under 87 if they put him on live in the midmorning.

I never gave this guy a chance and I'm sorry it took me this long. Glenn Beck's show is great. He'll be on in NY soon enough. The cream usually rises to the top in talk radio.

Wasn't WABC running Glenn Beck tape delayed on weekends for a while? I seem to recall that a couple of years ago they would occasionally run him as fill...

Oh Puuuuuuuuuuuulease! Glenn Beck irritates my ears with his yelling and puking. CNN is so desperate to get ratings they'll put a right wing bigot on air! :'(

What's wrong with CNN putting on a conservative? Where is it written that there must only be one side, left or right?

And how does the fact that he irritates you translate into others not wanting to hear him?
Please base your agument against having him on with facts, not just "because you don't like him."

Ok here goes...

CNN leans LEFT in case you haven't figured that out. One reason Fox came on to give it balance. He'll work out like Right Winger Carlton Tucker? did. Most CNN viewers will not accept Glenn's politics just as few viewers accept Alan Colmes on Fox. Hannity is the star their.

Lastly, the ratings so far have been dissmal AT BEST.

Sorry to give you the "facts" about your RADIO hero. :D

First of all, he's not my "radio hero,"
Second of all, I don't give a crap about who leans in which direction. Where is it written that a broadcaster or cable station has "balance" anything?

I don't care whether you like conservatives, liberals or whatever...

On the other hand . . .

"Cool, funny and smart"? Glenn Beck is a chickenhawk jingo who thinks anyone critical of US government policy is a traitor.

You want Glenn Beck on NYC radio? Ask Clear Channel to buy WOR from Buckley so CC can stick his right-wing rants on every day. After all he got his big break 3 years ago by being the MC of pro-war rallies staged by Clear Channel.

He filled in for local shows and, IIRC, did a local weekend show prior to his syndication. Sometime in 2002? I can't remember where this occurred in relation to his local gig at WFLA. He was on in CT (WELI?) prior to that.

I would hardly say that catapulted him to new levels of greatness. The biggest one was in Middleofnowhere, WV, and the second biggest one in my (and OA's) backyard of Bay Village, OH (anyone?).

NOTHING would give me more pleasure. WOR is a mishmash of octogenarian, boring, bland radio. With the exception of Savage at night, this station is stagnant and boring. Bought by CC or not, Beck would be a welcome adrenaline shot for this sadly programmed blowtorch signal. WHEN is Buckley going to wake up?
