There's a station coming in quite clear in Queens on 550 AM....It seems to be a recording saying "TESTING, TESTING, 1, 2, 3..." Anyone have any idea what's going on here ?

Could it be an airport (LaGuardia perhaps?) radio station preparing to go on the air, you know the kind that gives traffic info around the airport etc.?MusicRadioUSA said:

Your post reminded me a station doing exactly what your 550 AM station was doing. For about a year! Finally it went on the air as the Ontario (CA) Airport radio station.
(BTW it was/is on 770 kHz!)
