NYC RADIO STATIONS

Basically correct except AM 1560 WQEW Radio Disney is missing and Free FM is WFNY-FM... (there's a WFNY in Gloversville, New York located at 1440 AM)... noticed you did it with WCBS-FM... sorry to be a nitpicker :p

But your list seems correct otherwise, good job.

Thanks I wasn't aware of the WFNY thing. And my mind is still blocking WQEW and it's Disney Format. :p I'm a young guy but I enjoyed their previous Standards format. It was very relaxing.

No problem.. and yea, the Disney format is annoying... I'm not a fan of it myself.

P.S. I posted this on Dr. Sniffen's Board and it got deleted.

"Dr." Sniffen doesn't delete. He extracts.

Why pull a station list off the board. What is it with him any way? He must be breathing his own laughing gas.

I would have to say that Dr. Sniffen is the biggest censor of all. He pulls anything he does not like himself. People have ask many radio questions and have had about 10 or so answers and he pulls the whole thing. That is why I feel this is a better place to talk about radio.

Ever listen to Sniffen's podcast? When I hear his manic rants, I can't help thinking of the dentist in "Little Shop of Horrors" - especially Steve Martin's portrayal in the movie version of the musical ("I am your dentist. I have a talent for causing things pain...").

Sniffen: (v) What dogs do with each other. What people do with white powder.

Since this thread was removed from the "other" board, I will re-post my reply here.

Overall, I think its a very comprehensive list.
The only change I would make is in the characterization of WLTW.

Your listing says:

106.7 WLTW - Soft Adult Contemporary "Lite-FM" (Soft Hits. EZ Listening)

EZ Listening makes me think of the OLD WRFM or WPAT from 20 years ago...Elevator music, etc.
I would just leave it at:

106.7 WLTW - Adult Contemporary "Lite-FM" (Soft Hits)
