nyc stations promoting on the ski slopes

In recent years,
I have not seen many nyc radio station come up to the slopes in VT or upstate NY
anyone know why this is. I know 92.3 k-rock used to go to okemo every year but on okemo's website I do not see them on the scedule this year Instead a lot of boston radio stations. I remeber a few stations from NYC in the past used to come up to as well killington mount snow or stratton. on the resorts the people ratio comming from boston or nyc remains the same at about 50/50 though. I was curious have nyc stations givin up comming up to ski resorts unlike the boston market
I am up for your opinion.
