NYC TV Guide January 1957 Complete! (PDF File)

...interesting to see that the 11:00 PM news on WCBS-TV/2 was being anchored by Ron Cochran six nights a week and Walter Cronkite on Sunday nights. In six years, the two would compete with their own network evening newscasts, Cochran on ABC and Cronkite on CBS. And on 22 November 1963, it would be Cochran and Cronkite that would anchor their respective networks' initial hours' coverage of the assassination of President Kennedy, while the NBC coverage would be primarily anchored by WNBC-TV/4's local anchorman, Bill Ryan...
