NYC'S TOP 25 PROGRAMMERS 1978-2008! MIKE & DOG DUKE IT OUT! RICK ROBERTS!

We at radio central are putting together NYC's TOP 25 RADIO PROGRAMMERS 1978 TO 2008 and we need your suggestions. If he/or she was a PD in Gotham...we need their names. We should have the list in a few weeks.

We start off the list...Scott Shannon, Joe McCoy, Joel Salkowitz, Dale Parsons, Steve Kingston, Tom Poleman, Steve Smith, Mark Mason and list grows!

RICK ROBERTS did a fine job filling-in for MICHAEL SAVAGE tonight on the SAVAGE NATION heard on 710AM WOR. Roberts is the best fill-in host on the NATION.

Did you hear MIKE & THE MAD DOG today on 660AM WFAN? Radio at it's best when the two gents discussed if the NY YANKEES should get a new stadium. Mike was pro new stadium. Dog was anti new stadium. If ya ask me, Mike was 100% right! Sorry doggie!

If you have any news/press releases... email us : [email protected]

See ya!

My first pick would easily be Joel Salkowitz. My second would be Scott Shannon (but only for his time at Z100 and not 'PLJ.)

I will add:

Dale Parsons (The Time Machine!)

Kingston is overrated. He was part of the Blink flop and Z-100's spiral into the mid 90's grunge abyss.

It's hard to talk about people like Frankie Blue after what happened. John Mainelli did some great stuff at WABC, but what happened at WOR and Free?
