What's pathetic is your knowledge of geography. Boston is about 90 miles from Westerly, RI's southwestern most town, while New York is about 140 miles away.
Uh-oh. I may have to foul you on a technicality. Westerly is only 25 miles away from Fishers Island New York. Eastern Long Island is less than 50 miles from Westerly. Go to Mapquest and see for yourself. It doesn't particularly matter that the mileage is over water. So are Radio waves! So a good part of Rhode Island is closer to New York than it is Boston.
