O&A RETURNING TO TERRESTRIAL RADIO ON CBS STATIONS. WILL WOCL BUDGE?

I hope everyone's enjoying the new message board software.. (and respective new username(s) you've probably had to create in the process..) It's obvious there's a lack of discussion in our market's board nowadays, so I'm going to start a topic--and hope some form of discussion follows...Most of you have probably read, but Opie & Anthony have announced they're going to assume the role of CBS RADIO's flagship morning show product, since David Lee Roth's attempt at hosting has finally been declared a failure. O&A are going to do a 6a-9a (eastern) show for CBS RADIO, and then throw another 2 hours in exclusively on the XM side from 9a-11a daily. We've all see the hit WOCL has taken in the posted Arb 12+ ratings since losing Howard, and I think most of us pretty much saw it coming. They appear to be making efforts to make minor adjustments to their station, such as unvieling a new logo and website but whatever... My question is... Are they are going to stick with the local morning show they've tried to produce ever since the end of the short Howard ratings boost they were able to have? Or will Opie & Anthony's new CBS RADIO distributed show make a debut here soon?--Byron
 
I could see O+A going to WOCL. The station would get a big boost that it needs right now. Time will tell. I love the new software. Thank's Radio-Info.
 
It would still be better than what's on there in the mornings right now.

I would speculate that there is an audience for O & A in Orlando. Wasn't there recently some storm of activity by O & A fans directed at one of the hosts on Real Radio? Also, factor in the people who go back and forth from Orlando to NYC and there may be enough fans to get the word of mouth buzz started.But if WOCL does pick them up, some marketing must be done to quickly make the masses aware of the show.This will be interesting to watch.
 
The station is on its last few breaths otherwise. How’s it felt to be the lowest ranked FM in the market 12+? With a 100kw stick that reaches up into Jacksonville and Lake City and down into Tampa, I wish they would put it to some better use. Just don't make it Yeehaw 105.9, please. Fulltime classic alternative/today's rock alternative would be nice, but I guess Mix is handling some of that music already.
