O&A Vacation?

From what I can glean, both O&A and R&F are on vacation next week. This was scheduled well in advance for Anthony's vacation, and apparently work is being done on the XM Studio.

Let's all hope and pray that O and A never come back. Stern fans will never go away for one simple fact. We are far superior to all O and A fans. The O and A pests are sad.

And when they return, they can expect (and weep over) the release of the very important Winter '07 book. I think I can accurately predict what the rating for the whole of the station will be (1.2), but how well (or abysmal) will O&A do? Hmm....

isn't there anything odd about taking a two week vacation in the middle of the spring book?

Not when you consider that Anthony has been planning this cruise (with his entire family) for a year and a half and they have not even been back on terrestrial radio for a whole year. CBS new about the vacation when they signed them last year.

It's still a bad move considering the show is not the hit they, or cbs expected, they just lost an affilliate, a FREE FM no less, and their Boston affilliate is replacing the best of with their afternoon show live. Of course O and A were bitching about that move. They have their work cut out for sure.

are ya?

The bigger question for O&A is will other markets follow Dallas in dumping their show? I always heard Chicago does numbers similar to what they received in Dallas if not worse.

Another question would be did CBS Radio put the right people in syndication?

Roth is a distant memory, Rover has been pulled from everywhere except Cleveland and a few Emmis stations, O&A are not doing what everybody thinks they should, and yet Adam Carolla has not lost hardly any of the markets he was placed in. I am still surprised Carolla still has a morning show with all of the other projects he works on in some form or capacity.

If O&A get pulled from other markets, how many of those markets go with another syndicated show? How many do what Dallas did and go local?
