Larry and Eric are STILL looking for work. Mike Wheeler's a former CC guy that liked their show. I wonder if he has plans to bring them back? Eric said he would never work with Larry again but I'm sure his pay as Editor of the Sundaypaper.com can't be affording him the lifestyle he was used too... It would be local and bring instant ratings. They didn't do bad with females and males are looking for somewhere to go in the morning.
 
I would keep Eric and just team him up with someone else. But, finding that someone else is easier said than done.
 
What about Jimmy Baron with Eric? Neither though is truly a lead host but maybe the right third person could be found. Also include Tim Andrews. Not sure if being an Asst. Producer at 99x prevents him from making the jump.

Oh yeah just for kicks have Colandro produce. I know Jimmy likes him and I believe it was really Larry not Eric who had an issue with him.

You can say it is recycling talent but both them always kept their comentary on the clean side which I think plays better than Larry who was the Stern wanna-be. They are known in the market and there show would be more of an upscale humor vs. the low brow humor which they will probably stay away from.
 
They blew up the station and changed the name to NOT Be associated with the ghost of 96 Rock. Why in Hades would they bring a ghost back now???

Nobody's talking about bringing them back to CC. Wheeler is at DAVE (CBS) now. And, for the record, I do believe Eric and Jimmy and Andrews would be a good fit for them. They're all intelligent, have strong followings, are well-liked, and client/management friendly.

Why would anyone hire him solo? He was boring as hell on his weekend WGST show by himself.

Finally, we agree on something. As much of an ass as he could be on the air, Larry was entertaining and made that show work. I found Eric to be iritating and replaceable. I think he let Larry take the blame for everything that went wrong for them.

Especially when ratings went up right after TRG left. Besides I hear Wheeler is hiring his Toledo buddy Denny Schaffer for mornings, with the same "understanding" they had at WGST.
 
The Regular Guys were a great team and had a great show, but what are the odds of a reunion? Wachs is good as a solo act, but not as good as when he has a second mic and a cast of characters.
