O&A's Monday announcement (and a question for Casey B)

Opie has been hyping for the past few shows that "The Worst Kept Secret in Radio" will be announced, finally, on Monday's show.

All indicators are pointing to the fact that this means that Ron and Fez, which along with O&A helped anchor the PM hours on WNEW back in 2000-2002, will be joining the High Voltage lineup.

Ron and Fez are currently heard evenings on WJFK in Washington DC, and were displaced there after WNEW was blown up a few months after the Sex for Sam debacle in 2002.

Whether this means that R&F will be an exclusive talent to XM, or the show on WJFK will be simulcast on XM remains to be seen, but it's looking more like R&F on XM only.

So, my question for question for the O&A critics, ESPECIALLY Casey Bartholomew, is if O&A is such a failure on XM, that XM took them off premium and is just riding out their contract until they can dump them, why did Logan and Panero turn around and spend money to add shows to 202, especially a show that is considered to be the closest friends of O&A.

It's quite the provacative question.

Thoughts?

That's the funniest thing I've read on here in a while. The show is doing very well, but XM doesn't advertise it much. Where's the billboards in NYC, Philly, Boston, etc?

Sounds like XM simply adding talent, I don't see where that's an indicator of O&A's relative success or failure.

I tune in every now and then, find it tedious.

Hearing 4 replays of O&A a day is too much, plus weekends adding a couple of shows is only good for XM and O&A since more people will tune into 202 to hear R&F and might like what they hear on O&A
