Unfortunately it has become acceptable. Nicole was a battered wife. They broke up, but she later went back to him. That's extremely common. Women in abusive relationships often "give him ONE more chance" over and over.

America also has epidemic gun violence. Some people used to complain about violence in movies. Now, they blithely accept the slaughter of children by automatic weapons. I find it interesting that many folks are more angry about the fact that a wealthy Black man was found not guilty in court. However, they have no problem with kids being shredded by bullets from automatic weapons.

Simpson is gone now. I'm sure many Christians are praying that he gets his punishment in the afterlife while they load up their assault weapons...

That last paragraph was totally unnecessary. We will all be judged one day. When I went to school, a lot of cars and trucks routinely had weapons. That was our lifestyle. By the way, if you want to kill someone, there are lots of ways to do it. Evil always finds a way.

We are being judged by other nations right now. Americans are barbarians for allowing the proliferation of automatic weapons that kill scores of people in literally seconds. Try doing that with a butter knife. Evil doesn't need the kind of help the US provides.
