If you go to O-Rock's website it's a sign that it will become smooth jazz. Orlando already has WLOQ. Why does it need another smooth jazz station? I've never heard of the same market having 2 smooth jazz stations before except Tallahassee, FL years ago but that probably was a format error on radio-locator. I didn't think O-Rock was that bad - in fact I rather liked O-Rock. But I guess it didn't have much of an audience for alternative rock. Sad. Or why exactly did it change? Ratings?
I knew this was coming though from this site but I am very happy to have airchecked this station in advance. A big thanks to the people at CBS radio for streaming it so I could listen and record before it flipped. I have a lot of the images/logos saved too. Alternative rock is one of my favorite formats in radio and there was only one "O" station and that was it. But I really don't think Orlando needs another smooth jazz station. Does anyone agree?
