Oakland A's On KNTS/1220?

This morning's Oakland Tribune included the following blurb:

* According to Bay Area Radio Digest ... KNTS-1220 AM has been granted FCC approval to boost its power to 50,000 watts day and night. That raises speculation that KNTS — home of San Jose State football and basketball, Santa Clara basketball and the San Jose Giants — could land the Oakland A's, although the blog author is betting the A's wind up on KYCY-1550 AM.

I must make it clear that I did not speculate that KNTS could land the A's.

The construction permit that KNTS' owners obtained for the station could take anywhere from two to five years to put in place; it involves constructing a new transmitter plant in Hayward for KNTS, and ground hasn't even been broken for the facility yet. If the A's did end up on KNTS, I'm wondering if the person who pieced together this article expected that the games would be tape-delayed for several years.

Another fragment that appeared in the same Tribune article, regarding Marty Lurie's "Inside Baseball: The Winter Edition" on KYCY, was part of the same column I wrote in the Bay Area Radio Digest, and was one of the reasons I cited as being an indicator that the A's could be headed to KYCY.

I've read a few weeks back they would be on both an AM and FM station. 106.9 would be a viable option and most likely.

...Which is the FM sister to KYCY, which was in my blog, which we already discussed.
