Oasis changes

Dusty Rhodes is no longer on the Oasis. Dan Allen is back on WDJO. What is going on with the station? Dan only joined the Oasis at the end of March this year. Different direction? Ratings? Financial issues?

Someone else used the term "trainwreck" to describe The Oasis on this board. Still accurate. They play a few good songs and then something that doesn't fit at all or is some album cut that is a tune out. That's probably why they've lost nearly a full share since they peaked. And hearing commercials for Grant County businesses on a Butler County and Dayton station sounds really awkward.

They are focusing more on 70s and 80s music which is probably why Dusty's show was dropped.
From my online sampling WDJO has been skewing more 70s-80s the past year. Used to be you’d never hear 80s on the station, but I fully understand the change in direction as audiences age out.

I'm fine with it. I don't notice any changes musically. They sound great to me.

He's still listed in the website.

His show is now only heard on the Delhi Township low-powered station. If you tune in on Sunday evenings, you will not hear Dusty on the Oasis. They do not seem to update their website very often
