Obie Benson, Four Tops member, dies.

On the same day as we learn of Luther Vandross' passing, the news comes of the passing of a member of this legendary Motown group.

Mr. Benson and the Four Tops helped make Motown Records the powerhouse it was in the 1960s, selling tens of millions of records along the way and several hit songs; oddly, my favorite Tops song came from the 80s: "When She Was My Girl".

There'll never be any group to match the magic that came from groups like the Four Tops, the Temptations, the Spinners, the Delfonics, Parliament, etc, so this is definitely a significant loss.<P ID="signature">______________
