Obit: Bass guitarist Sky Saxon dies...Founder of 60's band "The Seeds"

I had a chance to meet Sky in the mid 1970's and got to talk to him again several years ago. He was a cool guy. I really liked "Can't seem to make you mine".

"Can't Seem to make you mine" was a good one. Underrated in my opinion.

I always liked that one too. And its on my music player too. I always thought it was underated too. Cool Song! RIP in Peace Mr. Saxon. Anyone remember a group or artist by the name of A. B. Sky from the early 70's? I remember seeing a picture of the album cover in GO Magazine when it was sponsored by KROY 1240, wasn't there a song briefly played on the radio from that album? O K all you radio folks anyone have the answer?

I remember back around 1988 that WAAW, the "double A" in Murray, Kentucky, had been sold and was about to undergo a format change (and become WBLN). I recall that they played what must have been some multiple artist collections CDs straight through with no talking between tracks. One that they played quite a bit during that transition period included "Pushin' Too Hard" by the Seeds. I don't recall being previously familiar with that one, but I grew to like it from hearing it played over WAAW. I'm still reminded of WAAW whenever I hear "Pushin' too Hard."
