Obit: Bonnie Lynn Fields, Mousketeer

Amazing to think that 55 odd years after the end of original episodes (Year 4 was all reruns),it makes news when even one of the lesser known kids pass away.

With the exception of the three adults (Jimmie Dodd, Roy Williams and Bob Amsberry) who were on the show who have died, there are now a total of six mousketeers who appeared in the series who are now deceased. In addition to Bonnie Lynn Fields, they are: Don Grady (Agrati), Cheryl Holdridge, Charley Laney, Tim Rooney and Michael Smith.

Just imagine the media coverage when Annette Funicello passes away.

She is now 70 years old and has been battling multiple sclerosis for years.

According to Wickipedia: " Her disease had severely damaged her nervous system; Funicello had lost the ability to walk in 2004 and the ability to speak in 2009, and she now required round-the-clock care to survive."

From everything I've ever read about her, Annette is a kind-hearted and caring person who did not let her career go to her head like some actors do.
