Too bad. She was a great kid (I knew her <mumble> years ago, when we were both at WRTI).
Funny, true story : Back then, a number of staffers were of the Muslim faith, and used their religious names on the air. At the time, one had to have a Third Class license with Element 9 to operate the transmitter, and you had to sign the transmitter log with the name that was on your license. Donna asked one of those guys about their use of religious names, and he explained that having a name that described youself (or your aspirations) was an important part of the faith. He characterized his birth name as a "slave name". Donna, bless her heart, asked the guy (100% sincerely) "is that like a confirmation name?"
