Obit: Dr. Jack Buerkle, 87; Former WRTI Host

After giving up being a saxophonist to serve in World War II, Buerkle revisited his love for jazz on Temple University's WRTI on programs and segments such as "Jazz Encounters". Previously, he had been Temple's sociology department chairman from 1962 to 1973.

Sorry to report Buerkle passed away last week due to complications from Alzheimer's.
