Obit: Ed Reimers at 96...Allstate spokesman

He was also one of the announcers who would say, "I have
a lady (or gentlemen) in the balcony, Doctor," on the radio
show "Dr. IQ." He was also announcer on "Do You Trust
Your Wife?" (the first version of "Who Do You Trust?" with
Edgar Bergen) before Bob LeMond, who recently passed away
himself, took over.

Not growing up in Western NY I didn't know Ed Reimers was from Buffalo. I did know Jack Paar spent time in Buffalo. I remember hearing Jack Paar telling funny Ed Reimers stories on his Friday night show. So he must have had a great sense of humor. Apparently they remained friends after working together in Buffalo and moving on, much the same as many of us have after working together and becoming life long friends. A couple "real" TV & radio people.

Coincidentally, I was listening to Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar-One of the 5-part stories from June 1956 this morning on XM 164 (Radio Classics)..and Bob LeMond was the announcer..

While this post concerns Ed Reimers, since Bob LeMond has been mentioned I'd like to note that Bob did a lot of work for Armed Forces TV and radio. One particular feature I recall that Bob did was a sort of science spot akin to "Watch Mr. Wizard."
