I found out today that the creator and producer of Love Connection, Eric Lieber, has died. He was 71.

Lieber was the artist who created the pictures for
the scandal-tainted "Dotto" in 1958. He was cleared
of any wrongdoing.

Original "Camouflage" host Don Morrow e-mailed
Steve Beverly last week, revealing that Lieber created
the picture version of that game show, although credit
has always gone to Jerry Hammer, who developed the
show.

Camouflage was one of the coolest, most underrated game shows of all time. A new version emerged in the early 80s, produced by Chuck Barris, and hosted by Tom "Right on the corner, right on the price" Campbell. It didn't succeed.

Since I've been a Don Morrow fan ever since the
original "Camouflage," I think his version beats
both Tom Campbell's and Roger Lodge's...but then,
I'm biased. I'm glad he straightened out the question
of just who created the show.

Re Eric Lieber: he also produced "The Dick Cavett
Show."
