Obit: Frank Thornton ("Are You Being Served?"), 92

Brit-com fans: the man who kept, or rather tried to keep, things working properly and smoothly on his floor of the Grace Brothers department store in merry ole England back in the 1970s has gone down the elevator for the last time. Frank Thornton played the proper Captain Peacock on the legendary BBC show, which became a cult hit on these shores many years later. From "the Beeb": http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21828965.

He was also Truly on "Last of the Summer Wine". Are Mr. Granger and Mr. Humphries telling him that his wings will ride up with wear?
