One of Kobe's first roles was in The Ten Commandments (an unnamed part); she would follow that up with numerous TV roles in westerns, anthologies, and other guest-star parts. Kobe's first soap exposure came with her role as 'Doris Schuster' on Peyton Place; she later turned to daytime with a part on the short-lived Bright Promise. Behind the camera, Kobe would go on to various production duties on several soaps (Return to Peyton Place, Days of our Lives, Another World, The Edge of Night, Texas (as the show's last executive producer), Guiding Light, and The Bold and the Beautiful). She was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for her role as 'Anne Warner' on Dr. Kildare; while more recently, Kobe received a Daytime Emmy nomination for her work as executive producer on Guiding Light. The Motion Picture & Television Home was Kobe's residence in the last 2 years of her life. Kobe passed away last Thursday, August 1.
