The man who sang the traditional Gospel hymns during almost all of evangelist Billy Graham's crusades for several decades has gone to his eternal reward. Shea was a centenarian who joined the Graham organization in 1947, having made a conversion to the Christian faith early in his life. Perhaps best known for accompanying Graham on his "Hour of Decision" weekly radio show, Shea became the musical face of the BGEA on the countless TV specials, both network and syndicated, conducted from various places throughout the world beginning in the 1950s and lasting until Graham's health problems forced his retirement from outside engagements about 10 or so years ago. Shea was a close residential neighbor of Graham in North Carolina also.
