Obit: Jeanne Cooper ("Young and the Restless"), 84

Rest In Peace Ms. Cooper

I'm wondering how Y&R will handle Katherine Chancellor?

Having been a fan of the now departed CBS sudzer "The Guiding Light"....I remember Mrs. Cooper in 2009 appearing in a cameo as "Kay" on one of the show's final episodes.

At the time, I thought it was a very gracious gesture....and now I feel that way even more strongly.

Daytime television has become poorer with her passing.

On Tuesday, May 28th, CBS will present a special episode of Y&R dedicated solely to Ms. Cooper's passing. The episode will consist of clips of her nearly 40 years on the drama, along with her real life family and television colleagues sharing their memories of her.

CoziTV is showing episodes of the NBC (Revue-Universal) series Tales of Wells Fargo. I recently caught an episode in which Jeanne Cooper (circa 1957) played outlaw queen Belle Starr. She was already good at playing deliciously evil and very hot.

She was also excellent playing Arnie Becker's mother on LA Law (interesting casting since she is Corbin Bernsen's mother).
