Obit: Laraine Day @ 87...actress, TV host & game show panelist

The actress made more than four dozen films from the late 1930s to 1960...most notably in a series of "Dr. Kildare" features.

Day also was a regular in the early days of television, appearing on "Climax" and "Playhouse 90" and later on such series as "Alfred Hitchcock Presents,", "Wagon Train,"..."Murder, She Wrote," "Fantasy Island," "Love Boat" and "Lou Grant."
In the 1950s...Day had a short-lived television variety show, "The Laraine Day Show," and spent a year as a panelist on the TV show "I've Got a Secret."

the former Mrs. Leo Durocher

I believe she was married to the Lip while he managed the NY Giants, and hosted their TV pregame show called "A Day with the Giants" (now there's PUNishment for you! ;D).

I saw a photo of their son Chris Durocher, the Giants' batboy, lowfiving Dusty Rhodes after Rhodes hit one of his three dingers in the 1954 WS sweep of the Cleveland Indians (I think one of those shots was a walk off homer that ended the game where Willie Mays caught that LONNNNNNNNNG drive off of Vic Wertz).
