Ronnie Burns, 72, the son of George Burns and Gracie Allen who appeared occasionally with the comedy team on television in the 1950s, died of cancer Wednesday at his Pacific Palisades home, said his wife, Janice.

Not mentioned in the Times, but he also starred in a 1960-61 NBC sitcom called "Happy" In which the You could hear a young couple's (played by Burns and Yvonne Lime) Baby's "thoughts" through an offscreen voice..Used to watch Burns and Allen on CBN in the 1980's when they would run the whole series..He was pleasant enough as an actor..He basically "played himself" very well..

Is his sister, Sandra, still around?

I've always remembered the kind words that Ronnie Burns said about his adoptive parents. He said he was asked quite a bit if his mother, Gracie, was funny at home. He noted that she was funny at home, but the best part of his mother was the part the public never saw. He let it be known that he was very fortunate that he had been chosen by them to be his parents.
