Obit: Sam Benson, 90, 40 years @ KLAC, Longtime Lou's Garage Spokesman

In the early 1940s Sam Benson worked at KVEC-1230 in San Luis Obispo. KVEC was part of the Mutual Network and was owned by Don Lee, who also owned KHJ, KFRC and several other stations. Earle C. Anthony, who owned KFI and KECA (which became KABC), was apparently part of the KVEC staff---does anyone know in what capacity?

Benson was also part of the Organizing Committee that brought the 1984 Olympics to Los Angeles.
