Floyd Dixon, the singer and jump-blues pianist who was an influential figure in the R&B scene of 1950s Southern California, died July 26 of cancer in Orange. He was 77.
Dixon, who called himself "Mr. Magnificent," was known for the song "Hey Bartender," which was made popular by the Blues Brothers.
