Annette Funicello?

Sadly you may be right about her.

Both her and Dick Clark had some rather sad and of course a lack thereof in the taste department, pics taken of them recently only to appear in those rags. Funicello in a stretcher while Dick Clark..in a wheelchair with food around his mouth, tounge hanging out while his daughter was shown carrying a box of Depends..I assume for Dick Clark. Thats the National Enquier for ya.

Multiple Sclerosis does not kill people. Annette might have been having a hard day, but it is usually an illness that comes that takes a Multiple Sclerosis patient down. Then again she might have been photo shopped by some freak at the tabloid. I don't read or buy it, so I did not see the pic.

As for Dick Clark, he looked fine last I saw him. People who have strokes can live productive lives beyond the stroke, as he has. Again, he might have been photo shopped by some freak at the tabloid. I don't read or buy it, so I did not see the pic.

I've heard that during the filming of Back to the Beach, Annette was starting to have physical problems, including lack of coordination. People on the set were worried that she was drinking, or inebriated in some way. It was a short time later that she got her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. That film was produced in 1987, so she's been suffering from the disease for at least 23 years.

RIP Mr C.

Regarding his career, I remember Tom Bosley being part of a stop smoking PSA film. The set for this film was the Brady household. There is a brief mention on the tubes of the internets. Anyone else remember?

I believe this was called "Let's Call it Quits" or something similar. I am thinking this was around 1974, maybe 73.
Interesting that Imdb doesn't have anything listed about this, then again IMDB doesn't list Tom Bosley being a part of the TV coverage alongside country singer Dottie West of the 1977 Winchester, Virginia Shenandoah Apple Blossom Fesitval Grand Feature parade either even though in 1977 the event was syndicated nationwide.

But yes I do remember that stop smoking PSA even though Bosley himself a few years later was seen smoking a cigar in that 1978 ABC-TV Silver Anniversary special. Maybe he switched vices. Hmmmmm
