Obit: William Asher ("Bewitched," "Patty Duke Show"), 90

Just a tidbit of information.

As many of you may know Asher was married to "Bewitched" star Liz Montgomery for many years. What a lot of people might not known that, according to Wikipedia, Montgomery broke up the marriage by leaving Asher for another actor.
 
Asher/Montgomery were known to have social consciences in Hollywood. Very progressive. They used a lot of actors & staff that no one else would use - either because of their reputation or they were blacklisted.
 
...as did John Frankenheimer. In Seconds, his 1966 theatrical film, he used three actors -- Will Geer, Jeff Corey and star John Randolph -- who had been blacklisted after working with Frankenheimer in TV productions. In fact, Randolph was the last of the surviving McCarthy Era blacklistees to find work in Hollywood...
