Well, I was just recently visiting a couple friends of mine in Hoquiam over the weekend, and just wanted to share my observations, since I hadn't been down there in 11 months...
I noticed that KBKW and KXRO AM have their own translator stations now on FM (92.7 and 101.7 FM).
KGHO sounds really good! A broader playlist than what KJR-FM up here in Puget Sound has! I was very impressed. Audio processing can use a little bit of work, but other than that, it does sound OK.
KSWW can use a little bit of audio processing work as well, but I do like it's playlist also. And the station does come in here iin Bremerton, whenever KPQ from Wenatchee doesn't try to come in (Thank the mountains toward the west, for the KPQ/KSWW battle here on the peninsula)
I don't know why there's 2 K-Love stations in the harbor area (KLOP, and KLWA). I assume maybe KLWA was put on the air, in anticipation for KLOP to go on the air from Capitol Peak in Olympia, to serve the Puget Sound area? (Which of course will destroy KPLU's translator on 88.1 from View Park near Port Orchard/Olalla).
The only stations from Seattle I could pick up in Hoquiam, were 103.7, and 106.1, and in my friends' car, 103.3 and 105.1 from Portland (don't know how that was possible!). Everyone else is either on the same frequency, or on a first adjacent, to frequencies in Seattle.
Anyways, wanted to share my observations!
