Much better coverage of the Sewage Pond next door as well as the Oreilly's Auto parts store down the block at 4323 N Blackstone. Well it does cover the Fashion Fair Mall.

Well from Blackstone and Holland on that nice tower on top of the drum shop with all those antennas, UHF 4 Bay 2 of them , CB on top and KKDJ 70 feet in the middle, not 105 feet like the FCC filed, oh no mister Bill. like I said before it has a 3 miles radius, better north-west from there with 6 or more miles due to no interference from KIOO Porterville.
the FCC has just granted them a CP to move to Channel: 272D (102.3).

I'm hearing both 99.7 and 102.3 simulcasting today and 102.3 is not coming from Blackstone and Holland, its a very weak signal and sounds like it coming from South-East Fresno.
I'm only hearing Spanish on 102.3 but I'm antenna crippled. Seems to me the switch should be very simple. Assuming the TX is frequency agile, but the antenna probably needs tuning to the new freq.
I don't think the change will give any appreciable increase in coverage. His ERP is less than half. And, I wonder why that is. ??

Sadly I'm forced to listen to K259CF-FM (calling themselves the defunct KKDJ) every day at work. While I don't expect the new frequency to be too distant for my work to pick up, I will be happy that KCIV 99.9 should no longer have the very harmful interference it's had now ever since 99.7 came in. I respect K259CF-FM for offering to purchase radios for 99.9 listeners who couldn't get their programming due to the interference and hope this shift to 102.3 will remedy the situation.

K259CF just announced that the switch to 102.3 will be at 5AM Sept. 19.
Didn't happen lol
12:48pm on still no 102.3 and the pop up is still up on web site. I actually listen after B&T for the few songs 95.7 doesn’t play and the comedic value Verne brings. Hope they get it worked out, anybody have some inside info on the delay?
