Observing the latest 12+ numbers

What is going on a Kix? I don't think the translators have done any damage that would show up yet. It's a little too soon for that.
It will be interesting to see if the Rebel picks up some numbers with the addition of 97.7/1430. Combined with Y-105.5 they might be able to shake things up.

I actually saved Y-105.5 and 830 in presets. The station has great continuity and flow compared to most classic country presentations I have heard. I never though I would listen to a country station again but that has changed.

WRVR as usual did well with holiday music but it's back to business as usual. They don't seem to hold on to the holiday listeners but even though the station is stale like week old bread they are holding on.

I wonder if how long Cumulus will let 98.9 limp along?

What about 101.9 it doesn't seem to be doing any damage to the 6080 building? Will flipping 96.1 affect 107.5's numbers in the south part of the metro?

I already hear some ads on 96.1. I ran into Dr Flinn a few days ago was told they had some people call in to buy ads on 96.1 directly.

I know the 12+ numbers don't mean that much in reality.

Anyone still looking for the demise of Rock 103? When I've heard them via tropo scatter (whenever the 102.7 translator in Stuttgart AR isn't heard as strong) WEGR is playing mostly music in the mornings.

I thought 98.9 would pull better ratings in the suburbs, but its likely that WREC holding on Limbaugh and Hannity has hurt. The FrankenFM on ch 6/87.75 long-ago abandoned its stable of D-Listers in favor of simulcasting WHBQ.

I did notice during cooler weather last week (when distant daytime signals are stronger) that KWAM 990 had Herman Cain and his last hour is going head to head with Limbaugh (WREC) and Huckabee (WKIM 98.9). The country station on 830 sounds okay, but images with the FM frequency.

How do you get the latest ratings numbers? Some links I've looked at in the past had stopped updating.

The latest should be available after 4 PM today. There is Radio Online at http://ratings.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/arb075, Station-Ratings at http://******************/ (you'll have to register, but it's free to register), but since Radio-Info split off from this board, they only show certain markets' ratings, and Memphis does not appear to be among them.

It's called a hiccup! I don't think anything is "going on" with KIX. They are a strong station with a strong staff and every once and while you take a dip. I can promise you they aren't going to react in a knee jerk reaction over a 2,000 watt north Mississippi radio station and their 200 watt translators. Looking at the latest numbers KIX rebounded from a 4.5 share to a 6.0 6 plus and WEBL has a 1.2 share.
