Occupy 98.5

Once upon a time, just a few short minutes from now (as I write this) B98.5 FM would kick off it's 98 at 9. Office workers would scurry get to the office in time to be nestled all snug in their cubes, while visions of Atlanta's longest music sweep danced in their heads. Then one foggy workday-eve consultant came to say: "Beeeeee! 98.5FM with your favorite songs from the 80s 90s and now, won't you play fifty minutes of music every hour?

But we can change all that, won't you join me in the Occupy 98.5 protests? I can see it now, the protests would go something like this:

"What do we want?!" "98 minutes of music!"

"When do we want it?!" "Every weekday morning at nine!"

We could even boycott, or dare I say "B-cott" advertisers whose spots are played in the 9am stopset! By doing so, we would cut off this anti-98 at 9 movement's funding at it's source! Then one morning just as the legend of how B98.5 FM's 98 at 9 was born, Jordan Graye won't have any spots to play in the 9am hour! Just as before she'll rhetorically say to herself and a co-worker: "Hey Kate! Look I'm not playing any spots this hour! In fact I'm playing at least ninety-eight minutes of music starting at nine!" Kate will say, "Jordan when you open up the mike for your next break, you should call it our 98 at 9. I bet it will be truly Atlanta's longest music sweep!" And Jordan replies "Oh glorious day!"

Oh, my goodness! Here I am, totally unaware that B98.5 actually owed me anything!

I'm with you on this one! I demand my music rights - and I want to be paid! :( :D

We are the 98.5%

Me thinks some of you guys got into the punch for the office Christmas party a bit early. Or maybe some stuff from up around Dawsonville that is 98.5 proof. ::)

I bet that only 1 in 98.5 listeners of Atlanta radio knew about the commercial-free 9am hour.

The 1.5% doesn't listen to their fair share!
