I'm listening, and I'm only 32. Definitely beats anything else on the dial right now. It's serving the area with a format that we definitely needed - a mix of standards, big band, and oldies (true oldies - not the Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel stuff that many so-called "oldies" stations are playing now). Not only that, it seems they are going to have community-oriented programming as well, with some discussion shows joining the lineup. Ocean County has a large senior population, particular in the southern half and Manchester (wondering - how well does it reach that area?), and WBNJ will definitely go over well with them. In addition, there's a good amount of younger people who appreciate this type of music and programming, and I think they'll be tuning in as well. It should be interesting to see how well a station like this does when PPM goes into effect - by all accounts, it has a surpringly strong signal for a non-commercial station, and being more in touch with the community than the Press Communications and Greater Medias of the world should work in their favor. Overall, I think it's a very positive addition to a very dull FM dial, and it will pick up displaced WJRZ listeners and those turned off by the increasingly younger-skewing Breeze, as well as those who had given up on radio altogether.
