OCTOBER 2022 TOP 3 6+

There really are no big surpises or seismic shifts in the TOP 10 for October. Other than the 2 country's battling it out and KISS propelled by the Billy Madison show... Everyone has settled into their Fall contesting and habitual listening benchmarks.

Results of the 95.1 KLMO swap to AC are propelling KZEP 104.5 closer to 4 share. KVBH and KBBT almost completely overlap listeners - hard to imagine they can't spread their audience apart by 5 more years instead of cannibalizing each other...
Slowly witnessing the death of Tejano on 95.7/103.3. I assume panelists are tied of both talkers as they didnt gobble up much for the elections cycle... I like where KKYX am/fm and KRPT sit but methinks it make sense to give a 90's Country a decent Full Power signal?

Amor 95.1 - The format doesn't appeal to the masses. I understand that Univision is after the Spanish-speaking people of SA, but the majority of the Latino community here speaks English as their first language.

IMO, 95.1 KMYO should flip to 80's Classic Hip Hop/R&B/Freestyle and Rhythmic Pop. Similar to the way KTFM sounded back in the day. The success would rely heavily on how the format is programmed, but even if 95.1 was able to capture half of the listeners from KONO. It's still a win. I know the odds of Univision programming another English format is slim to none.

IMO, Vibe 107.5 should have taken that space a LONG time ago away from KONO. Hell, even slightly rewinding the current Rhythmic playlist back 5-10 years would hit a bigger chunk. They are trying to re-capture what the Beat did in 2001-2005 but it has essentially "beat' down both full signals to the same slice of the pie... Correct, UVN most likely went back to safe AMOR (just reprinted the old sales packets) to compliment their TV/radio combo package. Writing's on the wall...
