Radio GM's are very happy when the auto industry is moving metal. They know the good news for the dealer down the street most likely translates into heavy automotive stopsets on their stations, which of course, is good for business. Overall sales in October rose 10.6 percent, to 1.2 million cars and trucks. General Motors reported sales up 16 percent to 226,402. Ford checked in with a 14 percent increase to 191,267 vehicles. And Chrysler saw an 11 percent gain, with 140,083 cars and trucks sold.
