okay, so Lumberyard 14~Forty didn't show in October. But at least KFWhyEye beat KT'R-FM. And Sports Parkinglot 6~Twenty beat both of them. So, here's the deal: http://www.radio-info.com/markets/phoenix

Dr. Akbar said:And here's another timely tip for TMISU...blow up The Peak and give the Valley its first FM Sports Parkinglot. Simulcast with Sports Parkinglot 6~Twenty and give them the B schedule when there is a conflict. Makes perfect sense to the Buckeye Boyz, but we're the ones driving a '76 Gremlin![]()

Larry is too busy worrying about what KDKB sounds like to focus on his own station. Counter programming within a cluster is counter productive.

I've been saying that FM sports will come sooner than later. But The Peak is holding its own. Maybe another underperforming music station---one that does not have a signal on South Mountain.
asugeorge1 said:On a side note, why is it that CBS as a whole has snubbed the Phoenix market? Pretty much every other major radio market has CBS as a major player, but here in Phoenix, their effort is subpar at best. I've also noticed that Phoenix is one of the few major markets without a CBS local website, i.e. Miami, New York, L.A., Denver, Chicago, San Francisco, Detroit, Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis, Tampa Bay, etc. Why is that? I think radio in Phoenix would be a lot better if CBS were a bigger player around here.

Or maybe even CBS will decide to get into the fray someday. Seems very unlikely right now considering that their three FM stations are doing pretty well ratings wise, but who knows! CBS might want to increase their influence around here like they have in other markets and an FM Sports station would definitely do that.
