October PPM (other than The Fan)

I've noticed that WMMS is up big time again in AQH and Cume...thanks to the Browns and 92.3's switch.

WNWV still has not made much of an impact in the ratings. Wonder if Rubber City will help improve them.

WGAR is showing some strength lately. It will be interesting to see with whoever they get for afternoons.

Anyone else wanna chime in?

WGAR's afternoon choice may be as, or more, important to the station as AMD (Brian and LeeAnn).

Chuck Collier was the face, life and soul of WGAR, period. His death leaves very large footprints to fill.

WMMS doesn't really benefit from 92.3 flipping. The Alt audience will revert to their iPods or Pandora, rather than an active rock station w 2 talk dayparts. The station's strong PPM is most likely the result of the strength of RMG and big continued growth with the Alan Cox Show. Browns help, but they split that audience with WTAM.

The two WMMS talk shows are destroying in AQH and Cume. They both had their biggest months yet together and their middays are doing great also. I exceptionally pleased with Alan Cox's show as of late.

It's almost impossible to find a successor for someone who was at said station for half of that station's entire 80-year existence.

I can't imagine CC quickly filling that timeslot any time soon. It may take a year.

And that's not even factoring in the void at WMJI middays. Take a flier out on bringing either Jay Hudson or Daune Robinson back? I would.

Daune would be first choice. She was fulltime on WMJI 1997-early 00s before leaving for The Fish. She returned to CC CLE and did swing for all of the music formats and was fulltime PMD for MIX before it's flip to Lake. She could track WMJI middays and live PMD on WGAR.

With that said... Jim Hart most likely will get the WMJI midday slot. Keep him part-time. No benefits to pay. And I can see PMD on WGAR being tracked from out of market.
