What's been happening to The Loop? Down from a 3.4 in July to a 2.5 now. They are barely ahead of WJMK in the (largely meaningless) 6+ results now, and are a full 1.0 share behind WLS-FM! The Drive has reopened a massive lead over WLUP.

What Do You Expect

Not starting any crap, but FM in Chicago has been dead for a little while (Exception of SOME, as in a FEW of the college stations). WLUP feels that following the safe, left-wing, heavily edited, limited playlist is a good idea. WMJK is the same as it was during its JACK-FM period. I prefer AM. 780 is the best, followed by daytime DX catches like 580, 620, 640, 1040, 1060, 1370, and 1640 AM.

Please explain how the Loop's playlist is "left-wing," especially considering that recent surveys have shown that classic rock station listenership (and rock radio in general, with the exceptions of AAA and perhaps modern/alternative) is dominated by people who consider themselves conservatives. And since when is college radio right-wing?
