The 2009 Binghamton Broadcasters Reunion is getting geared up for a get-together this fall.
We will be posting the information here and on Jon Scaptura's
www.binghamtonradio.com site, and through direct e-mails.
We have a tenative date set of September 26, but that is not yet firm.
The location of our previous reunions, Brothers Two in Endwell, suffered a recent fire, and we may need to relocate.
If someone has an idea for a new venue, please let me know. We had a great deal with Brothers Two. They gave us the banquet room at no charge, in return for the bar and an unspecified number of buffets.
We're looking for nominees for our award categories: Broadcaster of the Year, Living Legend, and Special Achievement Awards. If you have a nominee in mind either post here, or send an e-mail.
Last year we had about 175 people attend, and it was a great time.
Through Tom Shiptenko's efforts at Cool 100, we even had singer Chubby Checker in attendance.
Our mailing list has about 400 names on it. If you want to be added to the list, or think that we might have missed you or someone else, please let us know.
