Here is another "A DJ changed my life" story, and it's sincere.
As an extremely shy kid from a very abusive home; music was my outlet, but I couldn't go out and buy it or know where to find it, so Dave Rajput's Hotmixes opened a world for me.
Here's more info:
I met a Gay boy in the park (Rio Salado parkway in Scottsdsale Arizona), and he came over once in a while. I was raised to be VERY Homophobic, but I liked him. His name was Tommy. He was over one evening when the Hotmix was on and the way he danced was mesmerizing. I realized that dancing could be a form of self expression for me, and he tried to show me how to dance. I was too shy. I felt like the tin man, and gave up, BUT it made it possible for me to try when I was alone, and long story short; I LOVE dancing, and DJing, and creating music.
I danced alone to the Hotmixes and spent decades trying to again find the more rare songs that Dave played. Shortly after that, I found a truly great underage dance club nearby and my entire world changed, and I found my confidence and started healing.
This is an extremely abbreviated version of a long story, because I just want Dave and you other DJs that you could have made people's lives MUCH better.
